The University Town in Belgrade consists of three areas: the Residential Zone (1858 appartments), the International Zone and the Mixed Zone. During the 2009 Summer Universiade in Belgrade, the village will be accommodating 12,000 athletes. The village will have its Mayor, management, supply system, communal services, security and a restaurant with a capacity of 60,000 meals per day. Inside the village there will be banks, post offices, shops and restaurants. According to the plans, after the Universiade, this area will become another Belgrade community with all the necessary infrastructure. During the Games, it will be the place of accreditation of sportsmen, as well as of reception and registration of delegations.
