The German University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule Münster) - subject area energy, building and environment, has conducted a comparative survey of the total costs upon installation of a wireless CF2 single-room control system and a hardwired single-room control system.

Results of the comparative survey

The survey takes any installation costs into consideration, i.e. cost of material, installation- and programming time.

The comparative survey in the sample house example for DIN EN 12831 concluded the following:

In existing buildings: absolute savings of 263€ when using the wireless CF2 over the hardwired single-room control system.
In new buildings: absolute savings of 288€ when using the hardwired control system compared to the wireless CF2 control system. However, the extensive functionalities and the quick installation time of the CF2 remains unbeatable.

Besides the quick installation time, the wireless CF2 system offers remarkable cost savings:

There will be no further costs because of new or allocated placing of the room thermostats
