iF PRODUCT design award 2005 given to Danfoss X-tra Collection^TM   

The Danfoss X-tra Collection^TM was presented with the internationally recognized iF PRODUCT design award 2005 in January.

The Danfoss X-tra Collection^TM  is a new series of thermostats and valves for design radiators and towel rails challenging the perception that a thermostat is only a necessary technical detail on a radiator. The homes of today are characterized by harmonious and aesthetic design solutions. Therefore the X-tra Collection^TM has been designed with the specific aim of ensuring a solution complementing designer radiators and towel rails. Consequently, the fixing of the valve is concealed displaying the connection between thermostat and valve as one unit.

With the iF PRODUCT design award 2005 Danfoss has received a tangible proof that it has reached its goal of designing a product which complies with the needs and requirements of the consumers by integrating functionality and design into one solution.

An important international design award

The iF PRODUCT design award has been given by the German design institution iF since 1954 and is today regarded one of the most important design competitions worldwide. The price is annually given to products, which are outstanding by their high quality in terms of design, functionality as well as the extent of innovation. Danfoss X-tra Collection^TM  won the iF PRODUCT design award 2005 in the category Household/Residential in fierce competition with 1,900 other product applications submitted by 740 companies from 31 countries. The number of participants in the competition clearly indicates the attractiveness of the award
