District Heating & Cooling a Part of the RES Directive
»District Heating and Cooling: The Invisible Power, which is too often Forgotten in our Efforts to reach Environmental Goals«, says Lars Tveen. Along with the May edition of "EuroHeat & Power" the Danfoss District Heating magazine "Agenda" will be co-distributed. And in this connection Danfoss has been awarded the honor of writing the editorial of the magazine. |

The theme of the editorial is the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) Directive by EU, and the future for District Heating and Cooling. Starting as Senior Vice President of the District Heating business area at Danfoss January 2009, Lars Tveen has accepted this early opportunity to express his thoughts on the issue, and has thus agreed to write the editorial. »While traditional and wellknown renewable energy sources such as wind power, hydro power and biomass have all had a special place in the hearts of many environmentalfriendly politicians, district heating and cooling (DHC) has struggled to obtain the same degree of attention« EuroHeat & Power is distributed to 4,000 subscribers, and we are happy to have our word in the magazine to accompany the "Agenda" magazine. You can read the editorial in EuroHeat & Power #2, 2009 - which was released May 18th - or click the below link under related files. |
